MEET OUR TEAM

Brave Psychology is a small team, made up of Registered Psychologists, Provisional Psychologists and Administrative Support. Our team has an extensive amount of knowledge and many years of practice in a diverse range of areas. 

Principal Psychologists

Alysha Fameli

Registered Psychologist

Alysha is a registered psychologist with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults in the Illawarra and south coast.


Alysha enjoys workings with clients with varied needs and from various walks of life. Alysha works with individuals across a variety of presentations including  neurodevelopmental divergence (including but not limited to Autism  and ADHD), emotional and behavioural dysregulation, childhood trauma, trauma, anxiety, depression perinatal psychology (including birth trauma) and parenting support. Alysha has a particular passion for working with parents, particularly new parents in the perinatal period. Alysha uses a tailored approach to each client. Alysha is also trained in EMDR therapy for treatment of trauma. 


Alysha is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney, conducting research about birth trauma and early parenting. 


Alysha will be working on Wednesday (Wollongong office) and Monday and Tuesday (Camden Office) from Feb 2025. 


Bonnie Gordon

Registered Psychologist

Bonnie is a registered Psychologist with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents and families in the private and public sectors, including specialised infant, child and adolescent mental health services (ICAMHS), private practice, non-profit organisations and out-of-home-care facilities.


Bonnie has experience in treating a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties, and holds a special interest in attachment, emotional dysregulation, mood and anxiety disorders, perinatal psychology, parenting and childhood trauma.  Bonnie is passionate about helping parents, children, and families thrive by improving parent-child relationships, and optimising individual strengths, skills and wellbeing.


Bonnie is also trained in EMDR therapy for trauma. Bonnie has a special interest in working with clients using EMDR therapy to reduce the impact of traumatic experiences on their lives and allow them to reach their full potential.


Bonnie will be working on Monday  (Wollongong office) and Wednesday  & Thursday (Camden Office) from Feb 2025. 

Registered Psychologists

Susana Zuluaga Zapata

Psychologist 

Susana is a psychologist with experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults. 


Susana is passionate about working in partnership with her clients to achieve their fullest potential, and she believes that  through understanding and acceptance a strong therapeutic relationship can be built. Susana works to build coping strategies with her clients in the context of various presentations  such as behavioural difficulties, trauma, anxiety and emotional  concerns. 


Susana truly enjoys supporting children, families and young adults to grow  and connect with their authenticity. Susana is also bilingual, and speaks Spanish.


Susana operates from the Wollongong office on Thursday and Friday. Susana is currently accepting referrals.

Isabella Goodison

Psychologist 

Isabella (Bella) is a psychologist with experience working with  children, adolescents and adults. 


Through her volunteer and clinical  work, Isabella became passionate about working with children with  disabilities and neurodiversity. Her other interests include working with childhood anxiety and depression disorders. Isabella also has experience delivering Dialectical Behavioural Therapy programs to  adolescents and adults with complex presentations.

 

Bella is passionate about  helping children and young people become the best versions of themselves and accomplish their goals, especially those they may not feel capable of, in a warm, safe, and nurturing environment.


Bella operates from the Wollongong office on Thursday and Friday. Bella is currently accepting referrals. 

Administrative support

El Stanford

Client Liaison Officer

El is our Administrative Support that ensures your interactions with Brave Psychology are seamless, efficient, and confidential. 


El has experience working with vulnerable adolescents in the public sector, giving her the skills to provide a sensitive approach with our clients. El is here to assist you in scheduling appointments, answering your inquiries, invoicing and addressing any administrative tasks that may arise. She is dedicated to streamlining your interactions with the practice and ensuring that you receive the care and attention you deserve.  


El is here to listen, support, and assist you in any way she can.
